I MISS YOU MOM

I miss the warmth of your gentle hug and the love I felt when my arms were wrapped around you. I miss seeing your beautiful smile and the sound of your voice saying my name. I miss hearing you say, “I love you,” and me saying, “I love you” in return.

I miss saying “Mom” out loud. I miss not being able to find that special card for you, and then having found it, writing “To Mom” on it  for yet another cherished Mother’s Day.

I miss your words of wisdom and our family without you in it. I miss the look in your eyes that traveled straight to my heart. I miss the gift of you in the life I have embraced from the day I was born. I miss YOU Mom!

I miss having you share the feelings that linger deep within my soul; there is emptiness there where you once were. I miss you saying…”this is my daughter” and the look of pride you held with each word spoken.

I said goodbye to the part of me that held you and said, “You can go now” on that painful day!

And then, in the Grace of that moment…. I close my eyes and feel the warmth of your gentle hug once more and envision wrapping my arms around you. I see your smile as you say my name. I realize that if I could just go back into my precious memories of you I would find your treasured words of wisdom in a special place deep in my heart.

And then an overwhelming sense of peace and love surrounds me…because I suddenly realize that you already know and understand each feeling I hold within my soul before I feel it!

The part of me that let you go was the part of me that knew you would be the Angel who watched over me; that believed there truly was a God and that one day I would walk toward your wide open arms and hear you say, “This is my daughter; I love you; you can come now”!

And in the peace of that moment, angels flutter their wings and leave me…. knowing that I understand…. I am okay! You are with me in my heart!

GOD LOVES YOU!

This oft repeated cliche’ echoes from time immemorial. We have heard it numerous times. We have said it many times. Volumes of books and articles have been and still being published about this subject. The reason? God’s love encompasses all.

The most memorized verse could be John 3:16. “For God so loved d world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. God’s love is not a theory. It is practical. People have experienced it. I am experiencing it. God loves you. Each one is truly loved by God no matter who is or what we are.

God is the God of love. He is the author of love. True love originates from God. God loves sinners. He loves us not because of something we own or possess. On the contrary, Isaiah says that even our righteousness is like a filthy rag (Isaiah 64:6). There is nothing in us that God could love.

MANIFESTATIONS OF GOD’S LOVE
When man was created, all the things needed was taken care of God. In Isaiah 43:7 it says “Everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” Man is the only one created in God’s image and likeness. That shows how important man is to God.

THE CHURCH AS MANIFESTATION OF HIS LOVE
Those who accepted God’s love received salvation. And those who are saved will be added to the Church (Acts 2:47). Apostle John said, “My loved ones, let us have love for one another: because love is of God, and everyone who has love is a child of God and has knowledge of God.”(1 John 4:7). Formerly we were children of wrath but now we are new creation. We are now the children of God. We are born of God of love.

LOVING GOD
“Give ear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord: And the Lord your God is to be loved with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”(Deuteronomy 6:4-5). This is the Shema, Hebrew word for ‘hear’. Jesus declared that this is the first and greatest commandment. All the other commandment fall under this command.

LOVING OTHERS
Loving God also means loving whom God loves. In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul expounds about true and godly love. “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,” Paul wrote, “And have no charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.” Preaching without love would make the words empty. He further noted that all other virtues should be grounded on love. Because the God that gave the spiritual gifts, reveal mysteries and provide material possessions is the God of compassion.

Jesus clearly lived on love. He showed compassion as clearly mentioned in Matthew 9:36, “But when he saw all the people he was moved with pity for them, because they were troubled and wandering like sheep without a keeper.” He shared the sorrow of His friends just like when Lazarus died (John 11:35). Also He taught about taking care of those in need of help and needy, the sick, the prisoners. He understood the human needs. Our needs. And on the cross He said, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” He demonstrated to us how to express God’s love.
With Jesus being the example, we can now show true and godly love. Therefore, preaching the gospel is the first and foremost display of love to every man. With the gospel every sinner can know the way of God’s salvation.

Then, every Christian could extend helping hands to the needy. History has proven it. The biggest charities in the world were organized by Christians. and this is still true today. The Church open its arms to the helpless and needy people.

CARRIER OF GOD’S LOVE
Paul explained the Church’s action, “For the love of Christ constraineth us.”(2 Corinthians 5:14). Love is the bedrock that establishes our work for God. Every deed and every act done in love would not be unnoticed. In this time when “iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold.” The true Church of Christ in the end time is the manifestation of God’s love on earth. We are God’s lips, preaching His love to the world. We are His hands, reaching the hopeless and helpless. Let us go and manifest God’s love to the world.
